Melanie and Freckles are the soul of AmberCare. Melanie — Dr. Talia Swift’s dignified and opinionated tabby — reigns over the reception area with quiet confidence and occasional side-eye. She’s our chief nap officer, sunbeam critic, and self-appointed keyboard warmer. Freckles, Edward Sherwin’s loyal German Shepherd, is the complete opposite — endlessly friendly, always on patrol, and ready to greet every guest like a long-lost friend.

While they don’t hold official degrees, their emotional support credentials are unmatched. Together, they help calm nervous pets, lift team morale, and demonstrate the fine art of balancing rest with enthusiasm. Their presence reminds us daily why we do what we do — for the love, the connection, and the joy pets bring into our lives.
